Clear Ridge was founded in April 2015 with the mission and vision to support the Joint, Service Cyber Components, and commercial clients in specialized cyber support. The foundational principle was to establish an organization that provided premiere services while minimizing overhead, in order to remain highly competitive in terms of both cost and compensation. Ever since, CRD has evolved to provide superior cybersecurity support to a range of federal and commercial clients. To this day, all employees remain on a first name basis and carry-on our work hard, play hard philosophy.

Jeff Bullock Chief Executive Officer

With a technical and programmatic background in cyberspace operations and capability development, Jeff has fostered a trusted name in support of the cyberspace operations mission. He has briefed senior military leadership and senior executives in cyberspace operations and large-scale capability development efforts. He has spoken at various cybersecurity conferences and competitions across the U.S. encouraging rising technical expertise to join the Mission in defending our nation in cyberspace. He holds his Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications, in addition to other technical certifications.

Prior to launching CRD in April 2015, Jeff was a civil servicemember of the Department of Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SPAWAR LANT) where he formed the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) Integrated Product Team, leading SPAWAR engagement with USCYBERCOM, Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command (MARFORCYBER), and Fleet Cyber Command (FLTCYBERCOM) / 10th Fleet – supporting efforts ranging from incident response, cyber tool development, mission capability assurance, cyber planning, virtual regional network operations, cyber forensics, and other cyber systems engineering support.

Jeff graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2009 with a BS in Information, Science & Technology under the Information Assurance track, with a Minor in Geographic Information Systems.

Chris Comstock Chief Operating Officer

Chris is a proven leader with over 20 years of Intelligence Community experience, primarily with NSA. He manages operations and company strategy in support of Clear Ridge Defense’s Commercial and Federal Clients. He has broad expertise in program management, business process reengineering, and has previously gained significant industry experience at companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC and Lockheed Martin throughout his career. He realizes strong performance and trusting relationships are critical to client and employee satisfaction which leads to overall success.

Chris has a Bachelor of Science from The University of Maryland, College Park, School of Business and is a certified Program Management Professional (“PMP”) (2005).

Sid Sakota Vice President, Cybersecurity

Mr. Sakota manages the Clear Ridge Defense commercial security consulting team and is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of all commercial engagements.  Mr. Sakota is a 20-year plus Military Veteran with expertise across multiple technical disciplines including Information Technology (IT) analysis, cyber threat intelligence, and offensive and defensive cyber operations and training.  He has expertise that spans commercial, intelligence, and the DoD.

In addition to enterprise security environments, Sid has extensive experience in industrial and process control systems protection, cyber and physical security programs, and operations in critical infrastructure organizations, compliance (NIST, DoD, Federal), policy, software development, test/evaluation/assessment, for regulated industries.  Sid has direct experience in defensive and offensive security tactics, techniques, and procedures specifically relating to known threat actors; technology-based countermeasures; System Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems; building and industrial infrastructure systems; NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC-CIP); and a number of regulatory compliance programs. Throughout his career, he has gained subject-matter expertise in areas such as threat intelligence, capability development, emergency response, disaster recovery and business continuity planning, and regulatory compliance.

Mike Spence Vice President, Federal Services

Mr. Spence has over 27 years of Information Technology experience that spans multiple disciplines.  His experience includes Computer Programming, Computer and Network Administration, every aspect of IT Security Operations Center support from Network Monitoring, Event Detection, Traffic Analysis, Incident Response, Computer Forensics, Malware Analysis, and IT Security SME level Consulting.  Mr. Spence has worked with various organizations within multiple government agencies to include Department of Energy, Department of Defense, Department of Education, & the National Security Agency.

Mr. Spence currently continues to provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to the NSA Information Technology Enterprise.

Gregory Wynn Director, Strategic Planning for Cyberspace Initiatives

Gregory Wynn is a retired Marine Corps Officer who served in a variety of command and staff positions including foreign military advising, academia, communications, and acquisitions.  From 2014-2018 he served in multiple leadership positions in cyberspace defense and planning at the the operational and strategic levels.  He has a BA in History from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Military Studies from the U.S. Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and an MA in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University.  He is an author, historian, and an Executive Committee member and Trustee of the Theodore Roosevelt Association which was chartered by Congress in 1920.  He came aboard with Clear Ridge Defense in 2018 and is the Director for CRD’s Strategic Planning for Cyberspace Initiatives.
