Baltimore, MD, Apr 27, 2019 – Earlier this month, Clear Ridge Defense (CRD)’s Vice President of Special Programs, Mr. Jonathan Cichowicz, presented Jeffrey Bullock and Christopher Comstock with the Patriot Award alongside a member of the Maryland State Attorney’s Office.

The Patriot Award recognizes employers who make above-and-beyond efforts to support members of the National Guard or Reserve through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.

“National Guard and Reserve men and women already bring so much to the fight, that it makes hiring them a no-brainer,” says Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey Bullock – “they’re already extremely in touch with the clients we support, and know the mission. Baltimore, MD, August 25, 2016 – Clear Ridge Defense (CRD) recently received their HUBZone Certification from the Small Business Administration (SBA).

The SBA Historically Underutilized Business Zones contracting program was enacted into law as part of the Small Business Reauthorization Act of 1997. The purpose of this program is to help encourage economic development in historically underutilized business zones, an effort by Congress to promote economic development and employment growth in distressed areas by providing access to more federal contracting opportunities.

Clear Ridge is committed to upholding the initiatives of the Small Business Administration and has put in place a HUBZone Program Manager to ensure these initiatives are supported to their greatest extent. “Receiving this certification is going to allow Clear Ridge to create jobs and open many business opportunities in communities that otherwise may be at a disadvantage,” says CRD Business Operations Associate, Alaire’ Jameson. “We are looking forward to leveraging this certification to the fullest, creating a mutually beneficial relationship between Clear Ridge and the local communities.” Mr. Jameson will be responsible for identifying the right talent while advocating for continued job growth within local HUBZones.

Baltimore, MD, July 21, 2016 – Clear Ridge Defense (CRD) was recently awarded a prime Navy Seaport-e contract. This award sparks a very exciting time of growth for the company.

Seaport-e is the Navy’s electronic platform for acquiring services in 22 functional areas including information assurance, modeling, simulation, research, development, software engineering, and program management. Various United States Marine Corps (USMC) and United States Navy (USN) activities utilize Seaport-e to buy products and services from industry partners.

The company launched in 2015 with the vision to provide information dominance efficiencies and share lessons learned across the Service Cyber Components under U.S. Cyber Command.

“We exceeded our first-year goals early,” says company Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey Bullock – “so we’re really challenging ourselves with much higher objectives for years two and three. If your dreams don’t scare you, they’re not big enough.” CRD recently brought a Business Operations Associate on-board to support the increased operational demand.

“We’d love to play a supporting role with each of the Service Cyber Components within two years,” says Bullock, “and we’re pursuing the contract vehicles now in order to make it a reality.” Within the year, the company hopes to obtain the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Zone certification by the Small Business Administration, as well as approval of their accounting system for federal Cost Plus type contracts. These approvals will open up additional growth opportunities in 2017.
